Consultant Researcher at the East African Legislative Assembly of the East African Community (Tanzania) – Succesfully faciliated and participated in the EALA Plenary 6th-Meeting-3rd Session-3rd Assembly with a keen focus on the humanitarian crisis across the Great Lakes region and the trade relations between the EAC – EU-EPA negotiations.

The UK’s Department for International Development funded Kenya Markets Assistance Programme – Helped to reduce poverty in Kenya by building greater awareness among infuential decision makers, market actors and other stakeholders on how markets can better function to improve competitiveness, efficiency and inclusiveness (M4P Market Systems Development approach).

Consultant Facilitator – Supported the implementation of the Food Security and Development of Agricultural Markets in South Sudan. Worked on a markets facilitation programme employing relationship building tactics, and sound judgement to enable effective collaboration with GOSS (Governement of South Sudan), the private sector and international stakeholders to better contribute to sustainable economic development.
Consulant to the Business Edge Management Training Program in South Sudan – Contributed to IFC’s CASA initiative supporting and assisting South Sudan to formalize and diversify its economy for business competitiveness, and investment promotions. The program aimed to strengthen small and medium sized businesses, rebuilding financial institutions and increasing private sector involvement to spur economic development.
Facilitated appropriate management strategies for out growers (Kenya) – supporting fish processing plants in strategy development, outsourcing management and farmer production activities. The Strategic Plan 2014 – 2019 was designed to assist the cooperatives in outsourcing management to commercial firms and understand how to position their businesses going forward (strategic plan / business case formulation). The two processing plants were (a) Rongo Fish Farmers Cooperative Society (b) Kakamega Fish, Farmers Cooperative Society.
Supported by Kenya Markets Assistance Program – Facilitated training for strategy planning and development for Quest Laboratories Ltd (Kenya) to effectively provide agricultural laboratory services to the Kenyan market.
Facilitated by the Kenya Markets Assistance Program – Conducted 1 week training workshop session with the County Agricultural Officers on agricultural marketing and strategy.
Facilitated by the Kenya Markets Assistance Program – Initiated and held preliminary cooperation strategy discussions with the intention to provide Strategic Plan Implementation support to the County Ministries of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries & Food Security / Trade, Industrialization, Cooperatives & Enterprise Development.
Facilitated by the Kenya Markets Assistance Program – Supported the development of an appropriate model for a buy back scheme with commercial fish firms. Dominion Farms Limited a large scale farm based in Siaya County operating a number of farming enterprises including aquaculture. Its main production is from a grow – out system where they sell fish at farm gate and to outlets in Kisumu / Kakamega. To help narrow the gap, negotiated and assisted Dominion on a buyback scheme through a pilot targeting small holder farmers in Migori and Siaya Counties.
